Its best to not use setscrew style bearings on trunnions. As the rotary unit rotates the load of the unit transfers to the setscrews causing them to break.
Split housing bearings with tapered locked sleeves are PREs preferred bearings. They allow you to check the bearing roller clearance and change the grease in the housing during an outage.
Some manufactures use internal bearings. This style can be hard to detect bearing failure until its to late.
